Captains, hostesses, chefs and yacht owners — work with the team that's making Greek catamaran charter feel effortless.
Athena Catamarans is built around the people on the boats. If you love sailing, hospitality and the Greek islands, we want to hear from you. We hire seasonally for the April–October charter season and welcome owners interested in placing a yacht into our managed fleet year-round.
Catamaran Skippers
We hire professionally licensed skippers for skippered charters across the Ionian, Cyclades, Saronic Gulf and Dodecanese.
- Requirements: commercial charter experience, fluent English (additional Greek/German/French valued), VHF, valid medical.
- What we offer: standard daily rate plus tip, accommodation between charters, fuel and provisioning allowance during turn-around.
- Season: typical contract April–October with an option to extend for shoulder-season private charters.
Hostesses & Chefs (Crewed Fleet)
The luxury crewed flagships (S/Cat Sameli, P/Cat D2, P/Cat Evita) carry a hostess and chef on every charter.
- Hostess requirements: 1+ season service experience, food safety certification, fluent English, valid medical, comfortable working a 14-day rotation.
- Chef requirements: professional kitchen experience or formal culinary training, working knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine, dietary-restriction expertise (vegan, gluten-free, kosher on request).
- Compensation: daily rate above market plus tronc tip pool plus full board.
Yacht Owner Programme
Own a Lagoon, Bali, Fountaine Pajot, Nautitech or Excess catamaran (38–60ft) and want to offset ownership costs? Our managed-fleet programme generates charter income while a dedicated maintenance team protects the asset.
- What we handle: charter marketing, customer service, booking management, on-water operations, end-of-charter cleaning, mid-season service, winter haul-out scheduling.
- What you keep: 60–70 % of charter income (commercial terms vary by yacht and base), four to six weeks of personal use per year free of management fees, full transparency on every booking.
- Reporting: monthly charter statement plus a year-end P&L for tax. We handle the Greek charter-licence (MHTE) registration and renewals.
